Our take

For the price, the AOC C27G4ZX is a monster. The 280Hz refresh rate and 0.3ms response time make it incredibly responsive, and the VA panel's 3000:1 contrast ratio gives games a punchy, immersive look—black levels are noticeably better than IPS. The 27-inch curved screen wraps around you nicely, and I loved that I could adjust height, tilt, and swivel. FreeSync Premium worked flawlessly with my AMD GPU. My only real gripe is that the brightness maxes out at 300 nits, which is fine indoors but not for bright rooms. Also, the Full HD resolution on a 27-inch panel means pixel density isn't the sharpest. Still, at $120, this is a steal for competitive gamers who want smooth performance and deep blacks.
